Féileacáin members planted the first Butterfly Remembrance Tree up in Naul, Co. Dublin with Irish Trees. There is now an opportunity for families to plant a Memorial Tree in loving memory of their baby or loved one. The cost of planting a Memory Tree is €105, this includes €40 donation to Féileacáin, the planting of the Memory Butterfly Tree and a certificate to be kept or given to a family member or loved one who has lost someone dear. All the trees being planted will be native Irish Trees – Oak, Alder, Crabapple, Rowan, Holly, Sycamore, Whitethorn, Birch.
The tree planted in memory of a baby will be specially planted in a butterfly-shaped area of the woodland in the Lakeside Wood in Naul Co. Dublin. Soon to be comprised of hundreds of such trees, in time the giant butterfly shape will be visible from Google Earth Images. For anymore information please check out irishtrees.ie
